Betta species

Morning FL I recently picked up a nice male betta for my 10g shrimp tank can anyone tell me what type it is I have two females in a community tank I would like to breed them but want to know of his species what type he is my wife was told half moon I’m leaning towards crown tail can anyone help

Looks like a Halfmoon. Can we see a few more pics from different angles?

 

Species is betta splendens, tail type is half-moon. Just make sure to research how to properly breed bettas before you try, it's a lot more complicated then just putting a male in with some females. Conditions have to be right and they need to be monitored and separated.

Yes ,I’ve done a lot of research.I keep and breed a few different types of fish.the two females are in a 165g community tank a little over a yr now.I’ve only had the male about a month ,he has his own tank .I purchased a divider for the tank and have always fed them live foods ,brine shrimp and blood worms so I believe I’m headed in the right direction just wanted a positive Id on him I’ll post better pics when I get home and thanks for the help
