WOW! I haven't been in here in a while and I see some incredible new bettas!
Meanwhile, little Zed still lives in a 5 gallon with two guppy fry as his current pets. At least he doesn't eat them, but they are 1/10 his size.
He hangs out above the tank in his bubble bottle a lot, and he can see the mollies and monos and guppies in the adjacent tank.
Zed is the only surviving result of my betta harem attempts.
He has always liked to lounge on the algae in the bottom bubble, but I noticed recently that he was keeping the algae cleaned off the top bubble. It normally would grow 4x being that close to the lamp, but I think he wants to see the adjacent fish. He can also see the front yard thru a window, though what a betta can see at distance is probably not great.
His father didn't care for company, and I kept his tank blocked from adjacent tanks for his privacy.
Zed can see six 7" Mono Sebae from his perch in the bottle, but they don't concern him.
