Betta Intrigued By Mystery Snail

Hello all!
I recently added a golden mystery snail to my betta tank. Thankfully, my betta hasn't been extremely aggressive, but he's still harassing the poor little guy.
My betta spends most of his time at the snail's side, waiting for the snail to poke his head out, and then giving the snail a little peck to make him hide again.
I'm honestly not too concerned for the snail, as my betta is being relatively gentle and isn't flaring up or anything, but I think he's just entertained by it.

That being said, is there anything I can do or get to distract my betta? Something more entertaining than playing peek-a-boo with a snail?
The snail has moved a bit when the betta is elsewhere, and he's eaten a piece of an algae wafer too. Should I be concerned about him or will he be fine?

The betta harassing the snail is concerning, the snail will be stressed. I would return the mystery and get a nerite snail (they don't have long tempting tendrils waving about so your betta may think it is a rock and ignore it)

Do you have any low plants in your tank?

My Betta likes to amuse himself by diving under the lowest leaves, then wiggling his way out

A glass bottle, or small vase can also provide amusement as both a cave and place to squeeze under (the neck)

Just as long as the mouth is 2" wide

Okay, thank you. The snail was an online order (which I won't bee doing again, the packaging was very questionable), but I'll see if a return is an option!

Yeah otherwise the snail will just clam up not eat much if at all at night, and die. The only thing I can keep with my betta is a magic moving rock... I mean a nerite sanil.

Does your snail have anywhere to go to get away from the betta? I just got a gold mystery snail for my betta tank too, & put a bridge ornament in so that the snail could sit under that during the day. I also have lots of plants. During the night, the betta sleeps & the snail comes out. My betta was mildly interested, but when he found the snail was not edible, left him alone. This is my set up (snail is in front right corner as I'd just added bridge).

I did the same thing with a female betta then adding a golden mystery snail. first two days she did the same thing, but afterwards she didn't peck at all and just stared and swam off. so for me it's all fine

Yes! Things have actually been better today. My snail found his way into a vase ornament I have and my betta doesn't care to go in there, so that's his daytime hideout And he was very active at night, so I think this arrangement will work out.
Also, what type of plant do you have on the right? It looks nice!

The plant is a Brazilian pennywort. My betta likes to sit on the little leaf platforms. Glad to hear your snail is settling in
