Betta In Hospital Tank...white Fuzz And Patch?

HI everybody,

The cycle crashed in my 5.5 gallon aquarium and my betta has been living in a heated 1 gallon bowl. The cycle is almost re-established in the 5.5 gallon!

He has actually done great in the bowl with 75 % water changes every two days and his fin rot from the ammonia spike has really improved! He’s making bubble nests and flaring and energetic.

Last night I noticed a fuzz on his pectoral fin. Today he has a whitish patch on his head. See pic.

Anybody able to ID what it is? Doesn’t look like ich. The fin growth was fuzzy, so I’m thinking fungal?

I have erythromycin, kanaplex, general cure, ich-x and furan 2 at my disposal.

So I went ahead and treated with Furan - 2 and Kanaplex. I couldn’t get a good pic after 30 minutes of trying. As he had a definite cottony growth, I'm guessing that’s it. He’s always been a sickly guy!

Now check out his fins...it’s like they’re “shedding”? Obviously bettas don’t do this, so I’m obviously concerned....

If it was, between Furan-2 and and Kanaplex, it should've cleared up since those treat bacterial infections/issues. So it's probably fungus.
