Betta Foods

I was wondering what kind of foods everyone feeds their Bettas? What they have tried and liked or not liked. I have not experimented with any thing live or anything like that ( Sorry but I'm sort of a wimp when it comes to live foods and bugs lol)I started off using the Tetra minI pellets then many suggested Omega One is better...so I bought some Omega One Betta Buffet Pellets and the Omega One Betta Buffet flakes. I find that the Omega One pellets sink really fast and sometimes my Bettas miss them and the buffet flakes are huge in size! Anyhow my bettas like them I am just paranoid about over feeding or excess pellets sitting on the bottom. The thing I liked about the Tetra pellets was that they floated at the top and didn't sink fast so I could ensure they weren't junking up the tanks. Recently I bought Fluval Bug Bites for Bettas and I was wondering how others use these like in addition to a staple or every once in a while? Also interested in hearing feeding schedules and quantity... just for comparison sake because there are so many different thoughts on this.

I feed National Geographics betta flakes because they are always sold out of the pellets, Northfin betta pellets, omega ones freeze dried bloodworms and recently started using Bug Bites which I'm not too fussy about. I use the flakes as a staple and everything else one certain days.

personally out of all of the foods I feed I like National Geographics flakes best although Northfin is also one of my favourites because of their nutritional values and ingredients. my fish never really responded well to api, tetra, or any of the more common brands.

I don't really have an offical schedule I just feed the staple food most days and everything else every other day

I first fed the Nutrafin Betta Pellets as a starter, then frozen bloodworms, next Nutrafin Betta Bug Bites (Fluval and Nutrafin are both under the same parent company, the food is the same), and finally I got some Grindal worms. I find the Grindal worms very easy to keep, as I just feed them the cheap Nutrafin Betta Pellets and oatmeal.

API betta pellets, occasionally a small hunk of pea, a little bit of daphnia mush or live brine shrimp.

Mine gets two NLS pellets per day, 4 times a week. The other 3 days is a rotation between freeze dried blackworms, frozen mosquito larvae and daphnia
