Betta fish U shaped

I bought a betta fish about 2 years ago. It was never very active. Lately he is not active and today I saw him U shaped. Lately I have seen him sleeping sideways and I gave him break from food. He only eats Aqueon betta pallets. I used to give him 2 pallets morning and evening. Now I have cut it to 2 pallets since he does not come to eat twice a day. I checked the water levels, Ammonia 0 PPM, Nitrite 0 PPM, Nitrate 0 PPM. I cycle water every week. Temperature at 78.6 C. I use water heater and I change filter every month. Any advise?

You might change up the food. Look at New Life Spectrum pellets or Omega One pellets.
The Betta might be suffering digestion problems. That could explain the unusual body bending.

To add to betta06's questions, can you tell if he is having an issue breathing?

Also, what do you mean when you say that you change the filter every month? Do you mean that you change the filter cartridge/media every month?

If that is the case, you may be killing off most of your beneficial bacteria. That will cause issues with your fish cycle.

Sorry for all of the questions, but we just need a little more info to figure out what might be going on with your betta baby!
