Betta fish has been having trouble staying upright and lunging for food

My Betta fish has been having trouble staying upright and lunging for food. It also looks like he has a bulge/curve in his side. He lives in a 10g tank with some peaceful fish that aren’t having this issue. It doesn’t seem life-threatening because this has been going on for weeks but it’s pretty depressing seeing him stuck on his side or miss the food I drop right in front of his face.

Possibly a tumor, could you get a better shot of the bulge.

Water parameters? What other fish are with him? How much is he being fed? Is he still eating?

0 ammonia 0 nitrite ~20 nitrate. 1 molly and 3 danios. He’s fed 2 betta pellets a day and occasional blood worms. He is still eating but it takes multiple tries for him to actually get the food when he lunges for it.
I would say that Molly is stress factor for him. IMO they need atleast a 20 gallon long because they can get large and they tend to be aggressive towards other fish. Right now I would remove the Molly and do daily water changes.

I haven’t seen any aggression but maybe, and I cannot give the molly back so I’m stuck with it. Do you think stress is causing the bulge though or is that something separate?

The bulge could be a tumor, in which case there really isn’t anything you can do.
