Betta fish eye has white colour

Hi, I posted a thread on my Betta's fins turning white colour exactly a week ago, response was perhaps he is undergoing his ageing stage as he is eating well as usual. Today I noticed that his left eye has a white spot? Is this common? I'm afraid that it might be some illness as I search for discoloration and white eyes sigh. Please advice me what I should observe in the next few days to further check what is happening to my Betta. He is currently house with 8 neon tetras, no fighting no chasing no tail nipping. My Betta and the neon tetras are all eating well and did not develop any abnormal swimming. The only abnormal occurrence that I've observed would be the recent water change (3 days ago), my Betta was swimming erractically and frantically against the gravels, he then calmed down after the water was filled up. I have attached 3 images in the following, first picture is 2 days ago which his left eye appear normal, second picture is current situation which his left eye appear to have white colour, third picture is current situation (front view of him). Please advise, thank you so much.

Wow your betta is so pretty! Do you think it could be ich? That could explain the erratic swimming. Did you notice you tetras acting different as well or is it just your betta?

Hi there, thanks for the compliment! He used to be a full dark blue fish with tinge of teal colour It's quite interesting to see him developing into another colour. I've thought about ICH, but there weren't any white spots on my betta nor my neon tetras, and they have been eating well, so I don't think it would be ICH, but I'll continue to observe their appearance I've ICH treatment standby So far, only my Betta swims erractically during water change, but he returns to normal when the water is filled up, swimming pattern is normal too. Thanks for the response!

Np! Also do you think the dot on his eye could be from him bumping into something maybe? Or maybe something to do with water perimeters? Did you check your perimeters recently?
If he swims erratically during water changes it could be just because he doesn’t like them lol. I was so worried about my betta because whenever I did a WC it seemed like if he “fainted”/went into shock. Turns out he just doesn’t like me messing with his water and he was being dramatic lol. Just make sure to do same temperature water changes, add water conditioner before putting the water into the tank, and pour the water in gently as you can if you don’t already.

It might be him bumping into the gravel during the last water change, he used his head and dig up the gravel and swimming frantically. Sigh that could be hurting him. I've changed a new brand of water conditioner as the shop nearby didn't sell the one I've last used, could that be a new perimeter? Other than that, I've been keeping my routine the same throughout. Thanks for the advice, I do use same temperature water and I would add conditioner and water in a plastic bottle and letting them mix for awhile before pouring them gently to the side of the tank Oh my Betta usually likes to swim to the spot where the water is poured into the tank, and I would move and pour at another side of the tank and he would swim towards it! He acts as if he's taking a bath
Your betta sounds cute! He did that reaction to tell you that he doesn't like water change haha did you happen to video his dramatic reaction? Anw thanks for your response, I'll keep watching my Betta to see if there's more white spots to look out for ICH, or he's just hurting himself unknowingly Thanks!

A water conditioner that most people recommend is Seachem Prime. I also don't think water conditioners would count as a water perimeter. Water perimeters are the levels of ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, pH, etc. You can test these perimeters with a API test kit or you could use Tetra Test Strips and API Ammonia Test (I wouldn't recommend using any of the API test strips because they're not always accurate).
I've also noticed that you don't know about the nitrogen cycle. I'll also try my best to summarize the it: Fish waste + uneaten food gets converted to ammonia by beneficial bacteria then it gets converted then the bacteria converts the nitrites to nitrates. **I'm not sure if this is the best explanation so I suggest doing your own research about it lol.
Also just a little heads up, I also thought that my betta liked me pouring new water in his tank because it would always seem like he would swim up to it, but then I noticed that it was the water pulling him in and it wasn't actually him actually wanting to be there lol. I currently have a pretty small tank, so that was probably the reason why that was happening. Also how big is your tank?
I don't have a video of his reaction, but I'm doing a water change tomorrow, so I'll try to record it then .
