Betta Fish Can't Stop Eating

I have one female betta fish, and her tank mates are algae eater fishes (plecostomus and catfish). Since I am running out of algae wafers, so temporarily I gave crushed fish pellets to my algae-eater fishes.
And I fed my betta fish like usual, I gave fish pellets. I think I gave enough fish pellets for today, but she keeps searching for food. Even she's eating the crushed fish pellets that is sinking (which is for my pleco and catfish). Is it an Okay behavior for a betta?

Its a normal behavior.. Bettas are little piggies. But it is not an OK behavior. She will keep eating until there is nothing to eat anymore.
That's why bettas aren't usually recommended in community tanks. Even if they get along with other fish, they tend to overeat themselves to death.
Also, cory cats can't live on algae alone. They need protein in their diet. Saw you mentioned they eat algae wafers, but didn't say if that's all they get. (Edit: I just saw you said catfish, not corys specifically. If you have ottos, I'm not farmiliar with their diets)
Of she looks bloated, fast her for a few days. She'll get enough food anyway, eating what you feed the other fish.

I have this issue in my sons 5 gallon female betta tank. She steals the food fro, the snails and shrimp, so what I do when I specifically want to feed the shrimp is put the betta in a big tub of tank water for 10 minutes or so while the shrimp eats.

I have corydoras catfish. So I need to feed my corydoras pellets as well sometimes?

Thanks so much for the suggestion! Will try soon

Overeating is the fast lane to betta fish death.

I hope you have good luck with it! One thing is that I don’t net her up because I don’t wanna stress her out. I just wait for her to swim into the container I use and then lift her out with about a gallon of tank water for her to swim in for a few minutes.

Yes, absolutely! They make sinking shrimp pellets specifically for bottom feeders. Mine also like cichlid pellets on occasion. Frozen foods are great as a treat. A favorite for my fish is bloodworms.

I agree 100% tried the community tank route with my betta. After a week I noticed he was bloated. Didnt feed him for almost 2 weeks, because I knew he was getting cory food. Still fat, so he got moved to his own 5 gallon and is much happier (and normal sized).
