Betta fins

Hi! I'm sorry, I feel like I'm constantly posting here!
I got a betta on Saturday (who I absolutely love already). He's a lyretail betta, and so far hes been very active and has loved swimming through my planted 38 gallon. Ammonia 0 nitrites 0 nitratea 10. Also have some guppies, penguin tetras, and corydoras in the tank and everyone seems to be getting along very well.
I am probably overreacting, but his fins look a bit different to when I got him. Like I said, I haven't noticed any fun nipping, and I really hope it's not fin rot!! He also really likes swimming through the plants but seems to get stuck fsirly often. Could this be the cause of his fun damage? When I got him I noticed two small holes, but he now has two tears on his fin as well.

Any sort of driftwood or rock can cause tears in a bettas fin if they find the sharp edges. That’s a big rather sharp looking rock in the shot ..

Okay thank you. The rocks aren't as sharp as they look in the photo, but there are a couple of them.

Take a wet Kleenex and pull it over the edges of anything in the tank. That’s about how sturdy betta fins are.
