5 Gallon Tank Betta Fin Tail Problems?

Anixandria

I have a 1 year old betta glofish named Mochi. Mochi has recently started nipping her own fins and I can’t figure out why. The tank parameters are perfect every time I check them (same as all my other tanks for years). The tank is partially planted and partially silk so no rough edges she could be scraped on. Water changed every week. Only a bnpc as a tank mate. Nothing has actually changed in the past few months that I think could cause the nipping. Help?
Just FYI Ammonia is 0, nitrite is 0, nitrate is around 10, ph is 6.8

Fin nipping is tough. The key is figuring out what the cause is, which can be anything from being angry about fasting day(if you have one) to seeing its own reflection too much. Literally almost anything under the sun. I usually start with rearranging the tank and adding more plants, as at least for awhile, new stuff/new layout to explore, keeping the fish occupied.
