Betta Fin Rot or Natural Coloring?

Hi all.

I did not include the emergency template in this post because I do not believe this to be an emergency. I was just wondering if you think my Betta has fin rot or his the coloring natural. I have had my betta for 4 months now. I wan't really sure if he had fin rot or not so I kept a close eye on it. If he does have fin rot, it sure hasn't progressed. I have attached some photos. (His name is Jimmy)

Thank you.

I can't tell that there is any. Of there is doubt, i would do a couple extra water changes for the next couple weeks. 2-3 changes at about 25-30% should clear it up if there is any, cuz it looks like it would be minor finrot at best.

Okay, thank you! I already do 25-30% water changes each week.

Since he such a big finned boy, i would probably experiment with a 2nd water change for a couple weeks. Just to see if any differences. But i am a curious type like that. Lol

Hard to tell. The edges look slightly ragged, but not very, and I don’t see any black. I would do as suggested by Betta’sAnonymous and do some extra water changes. Even if it is fin rot, it doesn’t look at all severe and the water changes should clear it up quickly.

Okay, yeah I'll do that. Should I do 25% each time or lower the amount to like 15% (so that I don't over clean)?

Thanks! His fins haven't changed in color since I got him. No extra "cuts" in his fins or anything, the main reason I was suspicious is because of the slightly ragged fins, so I think it's natural coloring. I'll definitely do more water changes though, just in case.

Hi! I didn't get guppies yet as I am still cycling the tank.
