Betta colours fading

I got this betta and saved him from fin rot at first, but I started getting worried when I saw his colours. Why are his colours faded? Is he old? Is he stressed? Or is he just born that way??
He wasn't really acting weird.. He was just acting like a normal betta fish.

No not really. His fin rot wasn’t really that bad but the first time I got him his colour was already like that when I got him. But I did get him in the last 2 weeks.

Yes. It’s heated to about 77-78 fharenheit.

What should I do to enhance his colours because I’ve been giving him bites fun max enhancing colour flakes and it’s doing a tiny bit but not so much. So what do I do?
