Hi, recently my Betta passed away from I believe old age, he was about 6 years old and I'm also pretty sure he had a tumor which couldn't have helped. As old as he was he fought valiantly to stay alive but we always knew the end was near for him.
An empty tank was quite a depressing sight so I went out and bought what I'm pretty sure was advertised as a half moon dumbo/elephant ear, thought I'm not too sure about the half moon part.
Meet Gatsby,
He's incredibly small and has an awesome personality which is the main reason I picked him, aside from his colour. Which leads me into my question, after doing some research on betta colours I just can't quite tell what colour/s he is. He's mainly white with a red head and red going through his fins and body, he also has a tiny amount of metallic purple running through his fins that you can barely see under the right light. I think he's pastel red? but I'm not too sure.
I also can't tell if he's a DT or if he has a rip in his caudal fin, though he's definitely a dumbo/elephant ear. He has a long way to go since he's very young, about 1/3rd the size of an adult so I'm sure I'll see a lot more colour in the future.
Cheers in advance,
Liam.
