So I got a new betta a couple of days ago in the store he was white with tiny bits of red at the base of his fins.
Now most of his fins are red and he's getting baby pinks and blues on his body.should I be expecting him to end up as a solid red and blue. I know they change colour but I didn't think it would be this fast. And he was happy in the shop so I don't think he was just looking kinda pale.i didn't get a pic in the shop but the 3rd pic was about 8 hrs after I got him. And the other pics are from today

Expect more changes in the months (sometimes weeks) to come.
Here's mine when I got her last Feb. 10

She looks totally different from when I first got her. That's why she's my favorite since she always surprises me with her different looks.

Also that her fins got longer only these last couple of weeks and she looks like a male now but she's a confirmed female and I bred her last month to my male halfmoon.

Her fins are long for a female!I wonder if her colour changing tendencies will carry over to her fry! Haha maybe she's like most girls and just likes to change her look from time to time lol
