So every morning i go check on my tank and every time my betta’s face is all pale and white-ish, its a super dark brownish red color usually, a few hours after i feed him and come check on him again hes back to his usual dark color. This happens every day. Just wondering if anyone else experiences this with their fish and has any idea why hes changing color every day

Hm.. I know that it's common for a fish's color to fade when they're resting. So if you're seeing it in the morning, maybe it's likely that your betta is just waking up since they're diurnal like us :D

I came here to say this ! Even my tetras are pale in the morning or when lights first go on, then colour up more during the day

I have never before noticed this with my tetras.

I find that my rummy noses do it the most , then neons. The black tetras don’t fade in dark colour but the blue stripe is faded then brightens. Black skirts don’t seem to care all that much though !

I have some Serpae tetras. I will see if they are faded next morning.

It’s common for fish to be a bit faded on color after just turning on the lights or them “waking up”

I'd say he's fine, and like everyone else is saying probably just waking up. Mine does the same thing :)
