Betta changing color or something serious?

swimmingslowly

I’ve attached two photos of my male betta. He’s in a 10 gallon, heated tank which gets a 10-20% water change weekly. No ammonia/nitrites and barely any nitrates. I noticed that he had a chunk missing from his tail that I thought was possibly from tail biting but it looks to be growing back. Now I’m noticing these white spots (one on his head and one near his dorsal fin).

Ive only had him for around 4 months and he was smaller when I got him so I suspect he’s pretty young. Does this look to just be a color change or evidence of a fungus/body rot?

It looks like a normal color change to me! My money is on him turning bright red. :)
