Betta Bath Help

I have my betta in a 2.5 gallon quarantine tank. I plan to do 1 week of aquarium salt (1.5 teaspoons, or half a tbsp) and stressguard with 100% daily water changes to treat fin rot before he goes back to his main tank (which is getting 50% water changes daily). Is it safe to leave my betta in this salt??? Several people have told me yes because its a BATH not a DIP and that they did the same with success. Im just looking for confirmation to continue treatment. My betta had been in it a few hours before i moved him back for a break before we did the full treatment. He didnt seem to mind.

 

do you mean leave it in his tank? if you do then yes it is completely safe as long as you don't do to much.

yes. its an empty quarantine tank besides a betta log and leaf so my betta doesnt get too stressed. thank you! im just using the salt with dechlorinator and stressguard.

 

I think I've read that as long as you don't go over 2 weeks with the salt treatment, that is fine.

Is 100% daily water changes not a bit extreme/risky?
