Betta ate Tetras eye!

AGORDON95

HELP!
My Betta literally ripped out one of my tetra's eyeballs clear out of socket nothing left.
I've had my Betta an my tetra's in my 20 gallon tank for 7 months I've NEVER had an issue.
They all got along, played (what I see as playing) and lived peaceful with one another.
Tonight my Betta ripped out the eye of one of my Tetra's then just went about her business as though she didn't just do that.
My Tetra is swimming straight up and down but swimming. No one was messing with the Tetra or bothering it.
I have NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN.
I'm not sure what to do AT ALL.
Any advice and guidance would be a great help!

Betts dont work well in community tanks and do best on there own.

Your tetra will either survive or it won't but I'd reccomend removing the rest before the same thing or worse happens to them.

It might be better to get a 5 gallon tank for the betta. They are really unpredictable and can turn aggressive at any time.

I do hope your poor tetra lives!! :(
