betta and plants

hey everyone!
I've kept bettas in the past, and have recently gotten the craving again even with a 55gal community tank. We have plans to set up a 10 (maybe 20gal) to grow out some baby plants\hold extra plants between LFS to trade em in for store credit.

My question is, do ya'll think a betta would do ok in a tank that once a month would get plants removed\new ones put in? It probably wouldn't be that often, but occasionally it may be.

I've fallen in love with a tricolor red\white\blue male and this is the only way at our current house that I think I could get one (unless I convince husband for a 5gal grow out tank and another 5gal for a betta lol)

One of our LFS, a very good one at that, houses their Bettas in the plant tanks. Being a store, they are constantly removing and adding plants. If you still had a heater and filtration he'd probably be fine, but defiantly get some other opinions too

My betta absolutely loves every plant in existence - as you can see from my avatar they love to rest and sleep on leaves, and swim all up in between them and what not. I think that would be a great situation for a betta. Also I wish o had enough live plants to need a separate tank for them!!

He would be happy to have a home like that!

I think it would be fine, bettas benifet from a change in scenery just as much as we do.

Thanks guys! Now hopefully I can hold off getting a new "bubbly thingie" as our dog refers to them for couple weeks and don't get tempted by a pretty one today.... lol
