Hmmm ok!

Can some recommend a brand of sponge?

Can I just use a aquaclear 110 sponge and cut it to size?

Whats the maximum wattage for a heater? The nearest PetSmart is many miles from me. Would a 50w work, or fit?

I have a heater, not sure how many watts, but its preset not sure what temp ill post a picture when I get home.

Would this sponge work?

Yes you can cut the aqueen sponge to fit.
For a ten gallon 50 W heater should work fine. 25W would be a bit too low.

Aqueen sponge is fine. For a 5 gallon then you will want to find a 25 watt. Sorry thought we were still talking about the ten gallon lol.
