Beta Hurt His Fin.

Okeedokee, so I’m going to do his partial water change, and I will be removing all of the plastic plants. He’s going to be a sad fish until I can get him new stuff. Will his fins heal by themselves? The only water treatment I have is what the pet store told me to buy. It says it will enhance his slime coat. Is this ok? Another person on here pointed out his tear.

 

Keep the water clean and watch it for discoloration. It shouldn’t be an issue, just remove anything that could cause more tearing and maybe do water changes 2-3 times a week.

 

Thank you. I saw this stuff on Percocet.com that says it repairs torn fins, but is it more for sickness than if he just ripped it on a plant. I’m going to go buy better plants today, so I’ll pick this up if it will help, too.

 

Just keep the water clean with water changes and it’ll grow back fine within a couple weeks

Don’t use bettafix. It’s basically diluted melafix. I’ve used it once or twice, but I haven’t since I’ve heard many people say it has killed or worsened their fishes condition. I just don’t trust it after I’ve heard so many negative things said about it.

 

Increase water changes and add Seachem stressguard.
