Beta Health

joji123

I’ve had my beta for a little over four months now and I’m really concerned for his health. He is in a cycled 5 gallons tank with almond leaves a moss ball a heater a sponge filter two huts and gravel. About two months ago he started to get lazy and spend lots of time resting and hiding. He buries his head in the gravel or hides behind leaves. While that might be normal for some betas it isn’t for him. He used to be swimming all the time and very active. Comparing his behavior to my other beta he barely moves around. The only thing I think could be causing this behavior is fin rot which is very recent and minor. His scales look healthy he seems a bit bloated not sure why I feed him 2-3 times a day. He was healthy and happy when I had him for the first two months. Any tips?

I would start by not feeding him for a few days and see if the bloat goes away. 2-3 times a day may be too much for that one.
