Best Wild Betta Starter

I'm planning on stocking my 10 gallon with some kind of wild betta, I'm planning some silicate sand, lots of moss, pennywort, red root floaters, salivina minima, ricca, and some vals.
Tap is 6.6-6.8, TDS 30-40, gH 3, kH 0. I've got a lot of oak and maple trees near my house, so I plan on doing some kind of leaf litter bottom. It currently has a DIY sponge filter, but honestly I'll probably go filterless.
What are the best wild bettas to start off with? I'd prefer the ones that can be housed with both sexes and breed in the main tank. I have an extra 10 for raising fry. Mainly, which are most suitable for my water? Since I'll be adding leaves, I assume that will drop the pH a bit more as well.

Betta Imbellis is a good starter one to help you be introduced to the world of wild bettas. Here's some helpful guides:

Thanks, do you think they're a good fit for my water? What about macachai? I'm considering a few things, but this is the one I'm having the hardest time finding info on.

Betta Imbellis, Smaragdina, and MahachaI are the closest related to the Betta Splendens and should be the starter ones to begin with. Betta Imbellis seem to be the easiest to care for out of the 3 because they aren't the most pickiest about water chemistry as long as the quality of it is great and they're properly acclimated to it. Not sure about Smaragdina, but they're very similar to Imbellis and might be able to live and adapt like the Imbellis. MahachaI seems to need slightly brackish waters at a specific level.

Okay thanks, a few sources had said macachaI were able to live and even breed in freshwater. I'll look more into imbellis and smaragdina.

I'm not sure if they do need brackish waters, just something I read from a few info page.

MahachaI Betta
Most sources say they do, just a few independent Betta breeders had success breeding them in freshwater.
I think I'm leaning towards smaragdina, just need to find a nice place to get some... In a few months.
