Best veggies for BN pleco?

I boil some vegetables to kill any bacteria and remove any chemicals the food might have been exposed to.

 

Do you put the bell peppers in raw? Also, is the point of boiling just to make things sink or does it have a real reason behind it (ex: your fish will die if you don't boil the food*)? I have really only ever fed zucchini which I stab with a sword fork and then toss to the bottom of the sea tank.

Yes all my veggies are put in raw. If you blanch them it just helps them stay at the bottom without using something to keep them down.

 

Does anyone know any fruits you can feed plecos?

 

I'm not a 100% sure about this so don't quote me on it, but feeding your pleco some acidic fruit (oranges) can be bad for them. I don't know if this is true or not, has anyone else heard the same thing?
