Best Treatment For Anchor Worms?

I have a tank that has only sunfish and snails in it. One of the sunfish has these white things attached to several points on her body - see the pic below. The girl at Petco say they are anchor worms, and I need "Parasite Guard".

They do appear to be anchor worms, but Parasite Guard seems to be the wrong product. Does anyone have suggestions on the best product to use to treat them? Seems one thing you can use is Potassium Permanganate. Another is adding some salt to the aquarium. Another appears to be Dimilin. Any thoughts on which of these might be the best and cause the least stress on the fish/snails?

Thanks!

Here is apparently some product that appears to be something else, that got good reviews, not sure what it is though!

Well, seems it will have to be that product, as Potassium Permanganate and dimilin is some strong stuff that apparently will wipe out snails! I suppose the PP might be alright as you can take the fish out and put her in a separate bucket with it.

I had bought some goldfish that had those worms, nasty little things lol.
I used the product you listed from Amazon...

I don't know about it killing snails as I never had any in that tank. But I do know you have to treat the whole tank. I can't remember the exact way of using it but read the directions because I think you have to treat it several times in the tank to get all the worms.

Thanks Annie! That's actually the product I linked a few posts previously, and one of the first reviews was how none of her snails died. So I'm going with that one. Thanks!

I believe you can manually remove the large ones with tweezers.
PP has a strong learning curve but does kill most anything you want if you know how to mix and dose it.
