Best to worst aquarium YouTube channels?!!

So I'm starting this thread just to get an insight on the youtube part of keeping fish. By best I mean the ones you believe properly inform the viewers of their videos and by worst I mean those that are in the hobby just as a way to get a bigger follow group. To me I feel like some of the best would be king of diy and aquarium co-OP. No beef to this one channel but I'm just not a fan of barbs buzzin. You're free to share your opinions and add to the least.

I also like king of diy and aquarium coop but the one that got me into plants is Dustins Fishtank’s although his yelling can sometimes be annoying his knowledge of a planted tank is the best I’ve seen IMO

I like Rachel O'Leary, Foo the Flowerhorn and Aquarium Co-op. I don't like Paul Cuffaro, catch em all fishing and rawwfishing.

Dustin's fishtank's is also really cool. But I only watch him when I need specific advice on stuff not during my free time.

I also like Rachel. She's one of those youtubers where you can truly see her passion for the aquarium hobby. I LOVE foo the flower horn and his tank series. I've been following the sparkling gouramI one and the other one where he grows different veggies in the tank like potatoes. I kinda like Paul even tho he kinda does to much at times. I don't like catch em all nor raw fishing tho cuz they both behave like children and I believe they're just in it for the fame.

CoralFish12g is cool :) I like how he has funny videos but also does serious videos about the proper way to care for the fish/animals he has.

I used to like Coralfish12g more but now it seems like he's doing it more for the fame... but he's still better than some aquarium YouTubers.

IMO TKD (the kind of diy), masteraquatics (he may have quit YT, he hasn’t uploaded in a while but he was a pretty informed fish keeper, his tanks were a bit overstocked but I liked him), and Paul caffaro. Now that last one I know he has some beef and people don’t agree with what he gets and I can agree with what most of them say. A lot of what he does is questionable but I still watch him every now and again because not everything he does is bad, your free to you own opinions though. Those are the main ones I watch but I also watch aquarium co-op, solid gold aquatics, and others.

Truee. I still like his funny side tho. With all the memes. *Acclamation*

Yeah. People think he's really bad but he actually takes good care of his animals tho. I mean sometimes he does start heading in the wrong direction but he's usually okay. Still you may think otherwise and that's okay. The channel I still believe my opinion can't change on is barbs buzzin. They usually impulse buy a lot of times without prior research. Which is why they also get rid of a lot of their fish.

Aquarium Co-op is first for sure.
Rachel O leary is close second.
Swishkey is another good yter
Palmers aquatics is also good because he gives good info on species but his camera quality could be better.
Aquapros is good
KG tropicals
King of DIY

Paul Cuffaro is no-no. Buying a 10 gal, setting it up and putting a goldie in it the same day is just not acceptable for me.
Also he has what? 8 blood parrots in a 40 gal coffe table? Plus red tail cats that can grow to 3ft long in a 160.

I don't like the channels where they name the yt video "OMG I GOT WHAT???(A GOLDFISH IN A 10 GAL) or similar kind of videos.

I absolutely love Ohio Fish rescue. That man is living my dream. 88,000 gallons of water in his house... I also love aquarium co-op. I love the guy they have featured on there, Dean as well. I love Rachel O'Leary too. I know some people don't care for him, but I love joey the king of DIY as well.

Truee. He does a lot of things wrong so I wouldn't place him anywhere near one of the best but he's not exactly the worst when compared to some others. He could do a much better job when it comes to research about the animals. Cuz it's not only the fish. I remember how he got a pair of swans and one died cuz he didn't do proper prior research.

The guy from Ohio fish rescue is living every fishkeeper's dream. Lol. He has a pool turned pond INSIDE his house. He's so lucky. I feel like a lot of people actually know Joey though cuz in the past he has done so many projects that would help any hobbyist save a couple bucks when working on a project.

Never heard of him. I'll have to check him out. Also guys you can shout out any other youtubers that aren't so popular but do a good job on informing those who want to join the community or just anyone watching their content in general. I kinda like Blake's exotic animal ranch too. Even though his content isn't focused on the aquarium hobby. Although he isn't the best at doing research about fish he gets either like the dolphin fish he got one time.

A Gamers Wife, Rachel O Leary, Aquarium Co-Op (specifically the wild collecting and Deans breeding tours), AquaPros, Bentley Pascoe, Dans Fish, Flip Aquatics & a few others I've forgotten are my favorites. I could watch Rachel's stuff for hours.

I'm not gonna bash any YouTuber, everyone have positives and negatives, and even if their in it for clicks, at least they're bringing visibility to the hobby

True. True. But like it's still okay to once in a while shine light on youtubers that may not exactly be giving out the most accurate info to their viewers. :/

Aquarium Co-Op, Life with Pets, Primetime Aquatics, Simply Betta, Rachel O’Leary, Creative Pet Keeping and Solid Gold but she hardly uploads... also

I'm not a fan of gamers wife, dustins, aquapros.

I like king of diy his yelling isn't as horrible as dustins but hes just all over the place and it’s hard to focus on the info or whether he’s going to run into something or trip over himself!
Aquapros seems all about him self. He rarely responds to anyone on his videos and leaves a lot of info out imo.

super surprised no one has said anything about prime time aquatics !!!

Along with many other peoples favs, also lile watching George Farmer and MD aquatics. They both pretty entertaining an relaxing to watch!

Some of the clickbaity channels (Paul, catchemall ect) I really wish they would just stop. I really can't stand much of their audience how they put the channel on a pedestal when they basically abusing animals for views. Doesn't sit well with me. refuse to watch videos that colab with channels that's negative to the hobby, since those peopledont need helping from the algorithm. :/

I like KG Tropicals and Aquarium Co-Op of course. I really like how they both use the "knock on your head" common sense approach to things, and acknowledge that not every hobbyist has a fish room and a quarantine tank and untold millions for equipment. I also like DWSDarius Fishtanks...not everything he does, but his delivery is good and he has some really nice tanks.
For some reason every time I do a youtube search for anything fish, Palmer Aquatics is in the top of the results, and I'm not a fan... at all. But I will refrain from bashing...

Ahhh this is where I get all my info.

King of DIY is number one. Not that I’ll ever use his ideas but it’s riveting stuff to watch. It’s quite relaxing too.

I like aqua. co-op too, there ls a real non-judgemental approach (which I find rare in the hobby) to the way they provide information.

I am going against the grain here, but... I don’t like Paul C... I feel like his videos are more about the shares and likes and the fan base. Also this may be controversial but I can’t watch KG Tropicals. The content and agenda is on point but when they cut to her turn to talk, that voice travels right up my spine and I have to switch channels. Poor thing it’s not her fault, but that voice was not made for an audiovisual medium!

I would like Palmer more (he knows a lot and clearly loves his fish) if he would voiceover a video of fish footage rather than just straight talk to camera. A 15 minute video on the “beat reasons to own a blah blah” and not once do you see it... but I do like his laid back attitude.

That’s my rant :)

Cory from Aquarium Co-op and Rachel O'leary are great for no nonsense advice.

Joey of King of DIY is boring. I liked his older material better, like the actual builds and DIY stuff.

Catchemall is the absolute worst, but honestly not surprised he has so many subscribers.

I'm surprised only one other person has mentioned George Farmer. I also like shrimp-focused channels like Marks Shrimp Tanks (the Scottish Mark, not the English one) and Simply Shrimps. I also watch Simply Betta. I used to watch a lot more but I have unsubscribed to many of them due to lack of time.

I love to watch Foo the Flowerhorn's videos, but I have run across a lot of people in other corners of the Internet who try to follow his methods and end up failing dramatically- he makes filterless/Walstad tanks look effortless, but they are not. His editing is supreme, however.

I like George Farmer too but only usually watch him when I'm looking for some ideas on aquascaping. Haven't heard of Mark's shrimp tanks but I'll check him out. I used to like finatic but not really anymore. I just learnt of one named planet fishnets. She's one of the younger people in the hobby on youtube since most of the youtubers are grown adults.

Number one is Rachel, no question to me. Also Aquarium Co-op, Deans Fishroom, Swhiskey, Tank Tested, George Farmer, LRB Aquatics, SerpaDesign (I know, not only fish) and Ohio Fish Rescue. Oh, and Prime Time Aquatics.

Then there ist some controversy: Dustin I can totally respect for his knowledge, Joey, too. And I like them both as people. But... problem with the former: He seems to live right next to an international airport. He speaks so. darn. loud! Joey on the other hand... I am glad he stands up to his mistakes and shows every mishap (or most of them), otherwise I'd question his intentions.

Speaking of which, my total no-go: Taylor N. ... I don't even have to spell it out I guess. She's a tragic person I suppose, but when this is at the expense of the animals, there's a line. Paul C. is also a danger to animals in general, not just fish.

Quick question: I've lately found some aquarium videos from India. Anybody seen those? I barely speak any HindI beyond food items, but they are kinda entertaining in the the way they present them. :D

I enjoyed the video, but I hope you don't mind one small suggestion. I read fast, but much of the text came and went too fast for me. In the future you might want to consider leaving it longer.
