Best Things To Feed My Kuhli Loach?

Ok, yes, I only have one KuhlI loach, I’m getting more it’s just that they are a pain in the butt to obtain and I can’t find any right now. I found two black kuhlis at Petsmart and got them. One died, so that’s why I have one.

My KuhlI loach really likes chunky things he can easily find with his barbels, so far he really likes snail. He has trouble eating it, though, because it’s tough and chewy it takes him a while to be able to finish a piece. He nibbles on my frogs bloodworms but struggles to find the end so he can slurp it like a noodle. He will nibble the carnivore flakes I put in but I don’t think he likes them very much. I want to get him something chunky so he can find it easily, and soft so he doesn’t have to work out to eat. I’m gonna try cucumber, live brine shrimp and mussels. I want stuff that easily sinks to the bottom so my greedy fish don’t steal it. Any other suggestions? Also should I cook the mussels to make them more tender?

I found some sinking pellets which contains all kinds of seafood, he likes those. I’ll get some algae wafers, too. I put a piece of banana in there and he hasn’t noticed it yet.
Wait what?! Has anybody else had experiences where they are shrimp?! I didn’t think they did that!

I think they only hunted my ghosts because I wasn't getting enough protein downt o them after I lost the bettas in the tank My feeding habits changed after losing 8 meat-eating fish, and I don't think I fed them enough. Khulis will eat shrimp if hungry enough but they were in the tank witht he shrimp for a month before that and didn't bother them

Ok, I actually over fed a little, this is my first personal tank that I’m taking care of. Now I have planaria.
But if he won’t hurt my shrimp that’s good. I want a pea puffer for my 5 gallon so I wouldn't be able to move him. Well, thanks!

I feed mine omega one shrimp pellets, hikarI shinking wafers, hikarI carnivore pellets, and one omega one veggie round each and every night, so I feed them a selection of four different foods at one time. I used to feed them omega one flakes, but that got too messy. They weren't able to eat NLS minI pellets I tried too because because they were too hard for them I think.

I feed them only one time a day, at night time, whereas I feed my bettas and harlequin two times a day, afternoon and night

Ok, I feed mine some sinking carnivore pellets. I’m gonna try mussel still and pick up algae wafers whenever I’m out next. He has a new friend, a stripy KuhlI loach. They hang out all the time and swim together, it’s so cute! I’ve noticed my black KuhlI eating more of the flakes than usual, don’t know why. The pellets get soft in the water and are always gone in the morning so I assume he eats them, I’ve seen him attack them lol. I’ve seen him eat banana, so for now that’s what he’s eating. thank you!
