Best Tank Size to get for saltwater?

For a Beginner What would be the best size tank to get, for salt water.
amount of fish lets say about 8 fish 2 to 3 inc in length.

 

As big as you can afford a 40 would be a good starting point bigger the better

I also asked that Question, Mike said a 55G would be good for a bigginner, also on reading up a bit salt water fish prefer higher tanks, rather than shorter fatter ones so see if you can't get a taller one.

Yep, That's what I'm gonna do - a corner tank, so I can pile all the live rock up towards the back and still have a nice view from the front.
