Best species of Gourami for communities?

Hello all, i was wondering if I can get opinions about these beautiful fish. I was trying to see if any of these species would be compatible in my tank but there is so much disinformation and totally differing articles when it comes to their behavior and compatibility. I have a planted 75g community tank. Currently there are schools of 10 neon, 6 gold neon, 10 cardinal, and 8 rummy nose tetras, 8 otos and a 6 platies. Would there be a colorful dwarf gourami species that I could keep a small group of in a 75? Some articles are saying yea throw 10 of them together theyre great and others are like...will kill all of your fish. So for people who actually keep these what has your experience been? And suggested species and numbers. I'm thinking either gouramis or a group of female bettas for the 75, just deciding which is the best fit. Currently its just my lone male betta enjoying a giant betta condo with his tetra buddies but he has a 20g to live in if the new fish wouldn't get along with him.

If you do gouramis, do honey gourami. They are the most peaceful and I don’t think they get above 4”

Yea that's what I've read so far, they are pretty. I do really love the colors on the dwarf blue and the ones with blue and red stripes but I don't think i have anywhere to put one xD. Do you think honeys are relaxed enough to tolerate a very peaceful male betta or wouldn't risk it? If not he has his own second house to go in. And do they have to be alone or do they like a small group? Still deciding if I'm going to evict him from the 75 or not but if I do I want to go all out with some nice bright centerpiece fish to go with the schools.

I think they like a small group. I would try to do 1 male 1 female or 1 male 2 females. I think you could try it with your betta.

Thank you! I'll definitely look into that. I can see if the one fish store I saw honeys at can order some females too. I wish the blue and red ones were as nice o.o I actually saw a ton in petsmart the other day which got me thinking about them, though they had like 20 in one little tank lol.

I would go for honey gouramis (the yellow ones), and generally you shouldn't mix anabantoids.

Get a group of 6, if you want to get the blue dwarf gouramis get one.
