Best Plants to plant in diamond blasting sand?

While browsing for plants online, I’ve noticed majority are recommended to plant in ‘nutrient substrate‘. i don’t have nutrient substrate, and don’t intend on switching, but I do want my plants to look nice.. so, what are your guy’s best suggestions for plants that will be happy in the diamond blasting sand, without CO2, and minimal ferts.

i know any anubias, java fern, etc will do fine, but I’m looking for more variety

Anything that can be planted. (No rhizome). I have swords and rotalas planted in bdbs, with floating java fern and anubias. Aquatic plants need substrate to anchor them in place. They pull nutrients from the water through their leaves, not from their roots like non-aquatic plants.

Also to add I only use a squirt of Thrive C for ferts.

Every single aquarium plant (excluding the rhizome plants and mosses of course) can be grown perfectly healthy in any substrate so long as their nutrient / light / carbon requirements are met.

Yeah there just saying that so you buy the special substrate. Good lighting and ferts will grow most plants.

There are a few plants that will do better in a rich substrate and/or co2. So i wouldn't say all plants but there are many plants that will do well in an inert substrate low-tech tank. Generally most green plants grow fine and brown/reddish crypts however i'd avoid yellow/red stem plants in a low tech tank unless you have an extremely strong light source and a bit of experience under your belt.
