Which aquarium plants are the best and most effective in terms of allelopathy against algae?

One I can think of off the top of my head is Hornwort, very effective in dealing with algae.

I think the extent of allelopathy on suppressing growth is still debated...

Id say growing over the algae and blocking out the light would have a much larger effect

Using very fast growing aquarium plants can also help with combating algae as they will absorb much of the nutrients algae needs to thrive, but as Cherryshrimp420 said the concept of allelopathy is hotly contested. Just keep up with maintenance/your water changes and don't have the aquarium light on for too long. Algae should not be much of a problem if your fish tank is balanced and stable.
