HI guys. I was wondering what Live plants are best with red claw crabs. So far I just have a mossball and fake plants, but I would prefer to put some live ones in. I tried amazon sword but he kept uprooting it and cutting the roots.

Tank:
Size - 5gallons. 75% water, 25% land
Substrate - sand
Plants - live and fake
Filter - sponge
Temp - 77/78F
Stock - 1 red claw crab

Red claw crabs are brackish animals so there are only a few plants that will go well. I’ve seen anubias and java fern do ok, along with java moss. I don’t know of many other ones aside from those.

You could also do some plants in the land section! You could even make a vivarium type set-up your options are really endless! There are also plants like lucky "bamboo" that could grow in the water and stick out of the surface.
