It makes me nervous for the neons and DG, but I will definitely look for snails and a betta there! They have beautiful bettas, but expensive lolTry Aquabids or eBay.
I'd have to go probably an hour or two to find anywhere decent. The stores that are close to me are a half an hour away and basically idiots lol.Consider also going further a field and going the next town over - or if you live somewhere slightly remote - major city and look there for those animals? All the fish you mentioned are pretty easy to find, and most pet and aquatic stores should sell them.
I'm willing to go look at them at my local stores but most of the time they don't seem to be healthy at all. I did have luck with one once thougheBay has some beautiful Bettas that ship from US locations. They don't have to be imported. I got mine at PetSmart and he has done great from day one. I guess I got lucky. I did pick the one that was the most active and acting like he wanted out of the cup. When I floated the cup in my tank for acclimation, he saw the much larger environment and was trying like crazy to swim through the side of the cup.
