Keep an eye on the buy, sell, trade, free section here on the forum. Lots of members offer up their extra plants for very reasonable prices. :)
Ok thanks

ebay is pretty good but can also be a hit or miss depending on who you buy from.
Ive bought plants from there and they were pretty good, but still, $7 for 6 stems, thats kinda over priced

$7 for 6 stems is honestly pretty good... Depending on species and quality. If I'm buying certain species I might have to pay $2 per stem.

What websites have you looked at? I would just look around the usual and choose whichever's cheapest... Buceplant, Aquarium co-op, Aquarium plants factory, Dustin's fish tanks, Aquatic Arts, seem pretty popular on here... I also like Glass Aqua and Han Aquatics. There are tons of shops out there, some more high end than others.

If your tank leans towards medium or high tech, tissue culture is another option. They're usually $10-12 but there's a ton of plants packed into one cup.

Alright, I always wondered what tissue culture cups were, and why they costed so much.
