Best Place To Buy Aqua Plants In Larger Quantities?

Hey guys, a while back I posted a thread on whether I should get java moss or stick to ferns and anubias and what not, and a lot of people agreed I should try something different. But in the past 6 months, I haven't found any way to get java moss in larger quantities.

I realize the stuff grows quickly, but I only have led strips running on my 55 gallon and 75 gallon and frankly I don't have a lot of patience. If I did get a small amount, how fast would it grow on my set up? I don't want to wait another 6 months before my tanks are decorated with something other than ferns.

If it doesn't grow that quickly, where can I buy it?

Thanks guys,

I buy my plants from Planted Aquarium Central. She has a good selection and healthy plants. She always gives me extra plants with my order. Last order a few weeks ago, she gave me two extra. She is currently on vacation right now but she is offering a 12% discount if you order between June 30 - July 6. Some plants are out of stock right now but will be available June 30.

I would check eBay. I’ve found quality plants there.
I have java on a tree in my 6 gallon puffer tank and it has grown but I wouldn’t say fast. But then again it’s under low light too.

Happen to live near a pond or river?

In all seriousness I have collected several wild plants that are thriving in my tanks. Wild aquatic mosses, some wild variety of ludwigia, anacharis, dwarf lilies, and more have existed or still exist in my home aquariums. Just be sure to treat/quarantine because you never know what you'll bring home with you from a wild water source.
