Best Glue to fixing leaky filters

HI which is a better glue at fixing leaky filters?


Hot Glue(Hot Glue Gun) or aquarium sealant(silicone)




P.S. The filters are an Aquaclear 50 and Tetra whisper 5-15

Yes.

 

I wouldn’t see why not other than sometimes silicone doesn’t stick real good to some plastics so I would watch it close for a while. You would sure want to get it good and dry before applying it and you will need to give it at least 24 hours to cure but I would recommend longer if you can.

 

It is cheaper to buy it as what I mentioned than the little tubes the pet stores sell.
With the amount of tanks I have, buying it from pet stores would break me.
