Best Food for Blood Parrots

I plan on getting two BPs for my 55 gallon tank in the near future, 2-3 weeks probably, and want to be ready for them. I already have two terra cotta pots in the tank since I know they like to hide in them. What I am really interested in knowing is what the best food to feed them is?

I give my Rainbowfish a varied died of flakes, freeze dried bloodworms, and frozen brine shrimp. Would those be okay for the BPs as well, or should I look into getting some other foods? I'm guessing the flakes would be out, correct me if I'm wrong. So would it be some kind of pellet then? What brand would be the healthiest for them?

My blood parrots are pigs. They'll eat anything. Their favorite seems to be any kind of frozen food (plankton, shrimp, etc). They also eat any kind of flake and pellet, algae wafers are another huge fave, earthworms, cucumber. I actually can't think of a single food source they've turned down.

That makes me feel so much better! I'll just try a little bit of everything (not at the same time of course).

Personally, I avoid Hikari. Something about feeding fish corn just seems so wrong.

I feed mine New Life Spectrum, Omega One shrimp pellets, live earth worms and lots of frozen foods. They really love the earth worms! They really are pigs and try to muscle out the other fish.
