10 Gallon Tank Best fix for hair algae?

My 10g tank has an outbreak of hair algae. It's the worst in my driftwood moss tree right now.
I don't have any room for a timer to reduce lighting and my work hours vary from week to week. The lights can't be raised higher either.
Unfortunately my nerite snails haven't touched it, my pest snails aren't making a big impact and my betta is a known shrimp killer.
Any other ideas?

Would a power strip give you room to plug a timer in? Power strip= power board.

The lights can be raised somehow you just don’t know how yet?

If you have LEDs something can go under the light like a sheet of coloured polycarbonate to act as a defuser .

As the worst of the outbreak is on wood pull it out and scrub it with your (special ) kitchen washing up brush.$2 for a new dish washing brush.

Hair algae is not impossible to remove by hand under water or with your new washing up brush twisted like a fork and spaghetti.

Excel has never worked for me for staghorn or bba but it does seem to be pretty effective at taking care of hair algae

There's no room for it, I have 2 aquariums next to each other, there's already a power strip.
It's in the moss not on the wood. The lights physically cannot be raised.
Would adding Indian almond leaves work?

I can try excel.

My dimmer just attaches to the cord of my light and doesn't require an extra plug or any amount of extra space

I did blackouts every other day for a week and mine seemed to slowly disappear

I'm also having a problem with hair algae at the moment. My tank hasn't been set up long so never got a chance to stabilise it, and now there appears to be a lack of CO2 replacement canisters in the UK I'm having to use CO2 tabs I bought on ebay (although there's no info on daily dosage on the pack, so it's all guesswork). I've got Amano and Cherry shrimp, nerite, ramshorn and bubble snails and ottos, but nothing is touching the algae. Are there any off-the-shelf treatments or home remedies that won't kill my invertebrates?
