Best fish to breed for income

I'm considering setting up a breeding tank to fund for the money I spent on my planted 70gal. Any ideas on the best fish to breed which is sellable . I have good enough breeding experience having got my tetras and keyhole chiclids to breed in the past.
Considering L46 as I know export is banned from Brazil and still is reliably new to the hobby

L46 would be insanely profitable if you crack that code.

Medaka are relatively popular right now. They also apparently breed pretty easily, however they are a little more niche so might be harder to find buyers.
Rarer plecos definitely, zebras would be a good one but you'd want to purchase adults or near adults otherwise you've got a 3-5 year wait on turnaround. Even long finned red or green dragon bristlenose have a good price on clean/colorful versions.
Altum (true not peruvian) angels are expensive and have a good turnaround even for little dime sized babies.

I think one good thing for breeding any pleco is parental care as they look after their young

Just be mindful that breeding in one tank is usually not very profitable. The thread Carson linked above is definitely worth a read.

Most fish are bred in huge commercial setups and a lot of shops pay like $1 for a fish that we would pay $15 or $20 for. You really need to either crack huge volume or a very niche fish.

A good first step is to speak to your local shops first about what they're interested in, as you don't want to end up stuck with tanks full of fry you can't rehome.

As I mentioned in the original thread linked above.......you will need to be mindful of thinning the bloodlines and all that comes with it such as genetic deformity, increased illness and shorter lifespans caused by interbreeding/overbreeding. This would be virtually unavoidable if only using a few pairs on a single aquarium.

You also need to check the legality side too...some areas of the world require breeding licences, minimum facilities etc so your first stop would be to check that out as you would not want to be breaking any laws or bylaws cos the departments handling such issues will not accept the "I didn't know" reasoning.
