Best Fertilizer For Red Plants?

So I have recently bought some Ruby Red Melon Sword and some Red Root Floaters, and I foresee their condition getting worse as there is very limited iron in the water. Anybody have suggestions on what ferts to use? I would be okay with making my own root tabs with gel capsules. Water column ferts would work too for me. I was thinking about Easy Iron from Aquarium Co-op just to start simply because I love the channel and would like to support them, but if there is something better I could DIY I would like that too.
Just an afterthought: Is there anything I could make my own root tabs in jell capsules and them sell those along with breeding fish?

The best fertilizer for red plants is the best fertilizer for green plants. There's no difference, and iron does not cause red plants to turn redder

A plant will need all the necessary macro and micro nutrients to be healthy, so dosing a fertilizer that is well balanced is the best thing to do. Regular tank water usually does not contain all the nutrients needed.

Before recommending a fertilizer could you provide some more info? GH/KH, what light, what tank dimensions, what substrate, any other plants?
Easy Green is good but for some reason it doesn't contain calcium, a macronutrient, and lacks a couple micros.

Huh, I will work off of this! Thank you for the reply! My water isn't very soft, but I add some wondershell pieces to up it a bit depending on the tank.

Wondershell increases gh, not kh. Crushed coral increases kh. As for red plants, I’ve heard high light is good for them. My own sword starts red but turns green as the leaves age, and I run a low light tank with thrive C and crushed coral

A lot of sources will say iron-rich ferts are good for reds. That's probably part of it, but some plants, especially red root floaters, are more dependent on light intensity for their coloration than ferts. I think it's something like a tan. I've gotten some brilliant red root floaters with a bright light and no special ferts.

Hmm yes, I just got them in the mail about 5 days ago and they aren't doing too hot because they just get blown into a corner and get stuck there when my light is in the center. I'm thinking I will just have to move the light.

Not sure how red you’re looking for, but I use Thrive and Thrive C for these.
