Best dwarf cichlids for a colony tank - 20 gallon

While I was ordering a stand for my quarantine tank, I realized I could order a double stand and have two 20 gallon tanks in one place. My wife was a bit dubious about needing another tank, but since I am not taking up any more floor space, I think I have won the battle :D

One thing I would like to try is a colony of dwarf cichlids. Maybe Multi's. They certainly sound fascinating. What have you all tried? What do you think is best? What are good options?

I just set up a 20 gallon and I was looking into some dwarf cichlids too!

I have decided to go with some Apistogramma Agazii double reds! I think they look awsome from the pictures I have seen.
There are also a lot of other varieties that you should check out!

Yeah, I am mighty tempted to do some caucatoides (sp?) and another planted tank.

Before I read the above comments I was going to say, "what do you think of 1m/2f apistogramma cacatouides, and a group of cardinal tetras in a heavily planted tank?" hahah
