Best Bottom Feeder Food

Hello all,

Looking for people with more experience than I on food options for bottom feeders (5 Cory Cats and 1 Clown Loach).

I started off with these but they are pretty big and a lot of the pellets seem to go to waste, especially now that we are down to 1 loach.

I moved on to but they seem to cloud my water a lot. Perhaps I am just overfeeding.

Anyway, what do you guys and gals use with success?

Thanks!

Any sinking pellets would do fine.

I crush 1mm NLS pellets for my Pygmy Cories because they're that small.
And I feed my YoYo loaches in my 100G HikarI Micro Wafers.

I like Omega One shrimp pellets.

On another note, I would rehome the remaining clown loach. They should be kept in groups (in a large tank), and one kept singly won't be happy.

Exchange it for 1-3 corydoras. How big is the tank?

I feed my kuhlI loach omega one shrimp pellets.
I agree with TD, I really like them.

30 gallon tank, we're planning on rehoming the loach in the coming weeks, maybe swapping to dwarf chain loaches instead.

I feed my corydoras brine shrimp, blood-worms, freeze-dried black-worms w/ spirulina, and NLS Flake food.

I use earthworm sticks from kens, brine shrimp and spirolena that I believe is omega one.

I probably should have shared what I feed mine, I got sidetracked. I feed mine new life spectrum 1mm pellets, hikarI crab cuisine pellets, hikarI minI algae wafers, Omega One veggie pellets, blanched zucchinI (or the current veg I have), etc. They also get some of the stuff I feed the others: Omega One flakes, brine shrimp/spirulina, bloodworms, the seaweed thing I add. I crush the pellets, 1mm even seems too big.

In a 30 gal tank, I wouldn't do cories and dwarf chain loaches. Too much in a small space.

What else do you have in the tank? Dwarf chain loaches can be nippy, and many fish aren't suitable tankmates.

For my kuhlI loaches I feed HikarI sinking wafers, frozen brine shrimp, as well as my meaty version of snail jello. I'm pretty sure cory cats would like the same things since they too mostly like meatier foods.
