Hello, today I bought a 250ml bottle of Tetra Marine Safe Start for £15 and I noticed on the bottom of the bottle "10/11" and I was wondering if this was the best before date, if it is I'm taking it back tomorrow.

    Thanks.

I think it is the best before date as I have tetra aquasafe with 01/13 on the bottom. I would take it back :)

According to the above, Marine Safe Start has a shelf life of 12 months, so the date you see is most likely a Best Before date or manufactured date. Either way, it is worth swapping for a fresh bottle as it is definitely 12 months old. I'm not sure what is in the Marine Safe Start as far as bacteria. If your shop sells the Instant Ocean Bio-Spira, try swapping for that one as it is known to work.
