Best and Worst fish store names

I have JP success, Rivers To Reefs, RJ’s aquarium. Oh and aquarium adventure. They are all less than wonderful. I like JP success or aquarium adventure the most. Rivers to reefs is a nice name but less than wonderful Store.

 

There was a store called license to krill that closed down a few years ago in my area.

 

Oh yeah I also remember a store named Bestbetta when all their bettas are in cups, and are either sick or dead. Only 1/2 were healthy out of the whole wall of bettas.

That is incredibly ironic.

Y’know. I didn’t think much of RJ’s. They seemed to have a very small selection and don’t seem to either care about sales for the most part or don’t know what they are doing. A pleco in A 2.5 Gallon. Have you had good experiences there?

I agree about the selection and their knowledge. On occasion they'll have something really interesting to me. But I am happy with the fish I have gotten from there. Their prices are also better than most places. I just like how different it is. You basically just got to a little house with aquariums run by an elderly couple. I'm not sure if the really care about getting business as there's no sign just some writing on the house. Drove past the place many times over the years before and never knew it was there.

 

Most here are either just named after the owner or have rather uninspired names. One of the most uninspired and nonsensical I have ever seen: "Am Außenriff" ("on the outer reef"), which was specialized on... Discus! (After they dropped the Saltwater department the name really was just a farce. Store's been closed for at least 20 years now.)

My pencils were ordered from a store named "Unter Wasser" ("under water"), that's the most creative name I have seen here in YEARS.

When I open my store, I will call it Gil's (or will it be Gills?).

How about Finn's and Gil's? ( sounds a like poor man's fish pie)

Or more subtle: Finnious and Gilbert's Fish Emporium.
