Bent fins, whats going on

My betta seems to have some odd bends in his fins. Water parameters are good and I change water every other day. One front fin is almost at a right angle and some of the tail looks to be twisted. Other than that he seems pretty healthy, no bloating or sores, is active and eats fine. Whats going on? Its hard to photograph but I attached the best pictures I could get.

How long has he had this? Is his tank heated and filtered? What size tank is it? Is there any tankmates?

That’s true, I would think if everything in tank is normal and no other symptoms then it could just be the way they are

The full fins are yes. Where the bends are seem a little more rigid but they don't seem to hinder swimming or cause any other discomfort. Im almost wondering if it could be a vitamin deficiency or something

I've only noticed it the last month or so. Doesn't mean it wasn't there before though

Its a small tank, 1.5 gallons

1 small mystery snail tankmate

And it is heated, stays around 72

And has a small sponge filter

Hi,

72 degrees is a bit low for a betta. They like temps of 79 to 82. This could cause stress in the fish, which in turn could cause illness.

For now, I would keep a close eye on those areas to see if they begin to show signs of fin rot. But I have had bettas with that bent look on the ventral fin before, and nothing was wrong. It's just the way their fins are.

Ive slowly raised the temperature to sit at about 79. I live where its very warm so it should only fluctuate higher.

I change water a least every other day and check parameters weekly with my other tanks. This is my first betta so I just want to make sure I'm doing things right

That could cause stress too. Bettas need at least a 2.5 gallon tank, ideally 5 gallons or more.
