Beginner ideas for 5 gallon

Does anyone have any good 5 gallon beginner stocking ideas? Let me know if you do. Also random question but how many gallons do kuhlI loaches need? Thinking of getting a tank in the future with them in it.

 

Sorry only thing I would suggest is RCS.

Minimum for khulI loaches 20 gal and long would be better than high

 

You could also do one Betta fish in a 5g

Shrimp!!!!! Neocaridina shrimp are amazing in a 5 gallon! Get some reds of oranges and you will love it!

Alternatively a betta would be cool.

You could house a single betta in a 5 gallon.
KuhlI loaches need to be in large schools of 8 - 15
I recommend a 20 gallon long for them.

 

If you want a mashup; Veiltail Betta (they are the most passive Betta in my exp), any neocaridina species of shrimp, and a few snails
If you want a nano look; Endlers livebearers with some pygmy corydoras
If you love invertebrates; any neocaridina species and mts snails (invasive) and a nerite snail and I personally like the look of Ramshorn Snails but they are another invasive species so you gotta really love them (mts will breed like crazy but will keep toxic pockets from forming in your substrate only really necessary if you plan on using sand)
