How long are you going to keep it under water for until you put in the tank? I usually see lots of driftwoods when I walk on the beach didn't know the proper protocol in making them salt free.

At least a few weeks. I keep rinsing it and adding fresh water. The first dunk showed salt on the container. I hosed it down real good then put in fresh water.

So I checked today after a week of rain to find my wood floating.
I sunk it down good w/ stones. Guess I may have to tie to rock for awile in tank or wait it out.
