after 6-8 months of battling BBA (on everything) I seem to be winning. Recently (6-8 weeks ago) had a nice bout of bio load crash from doing too much too fast, but...thanks to daily overdosing (2x strength) of excel (now successfully dosing Metrix 14 last 2 weeks), along with weekly h2o2 spot treatment, and I seem to be ahead of this nuisance.

Plants are picking up pace (in part to liquid carbon, I think) and algae is slowing down, way down. Here are some picks of tank currently:

I wish anyone battling this problem good luck, and feel free to ask any questions and I can try to help with what I’ve tired and it’s success vs fail.

Congradulations ! Happy to hear things are turning around. Your tank looks great !

Keep up with your regular daily Excel regime even after the algae problem has been resolved and keep high K and Trace levels together with NO3 dosing to avoid any future problems.

Weekly %50 water changes are key.
