Hey fishlore,
I recently aquired a pair of banggaI cardinals from my LFS. I went a little crazy and got them despite only seeing them eating Nyos Artemis. I tried to sex them as best as I could by looking at all their traits.
The female ate some microfauna on her first day in the aquarium (08/07) and eagearly accepted Artemia and even got a pellet in. The male however has not been eating, not even once. In the first few days he showed similar behaviour to the female but now he is hiding away in the rocks and back of the tank.
Is he holding eggs or fry? Can I try anything to fix the situation? Or at least check if he is indeedholding? I rather stay away from feeding live foods for the sake of the other fish.
